Gulfstream Charters is one of Clearwater’s largest and longest-running fishing charters, opening in 1974. It is captained and owned by Captain Maxie, a seasoned skipper and one of the most respected captains in Clearwater.

The company has two boats. The original Gulfstream, a 40′ custom sportfisher capable of taking out up to 12 anglers. The newer Gulfstream II, a 51′ custom-built sportfishing boat with room for up to 16 fishermen. Both boats have the best fishing equipment, including top-of-the-line fish-finding and navigational equipment, rod and reels. The boats are Coast Guard Certified, and safety equipment is regularly checked by the Coast Guard and updated when needed. The fishing techniques used by Captain Maxie and his crew are trolling and bottom fishing. They offer trips for 4 hours, 5 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours and offer extended trips and multi-day charters.
