If you are looking for a excellent seafood restaurant in Wilmington, you have to check out the Marina Grill on the waterfront of Riverfront Marina. This restaurant features delicious food sourced locally, a wide selection of North Carolina craft beers, specialty cocktails, nightly music and stunning views of the marina. You can dine in, or if you want to, you can dine at your boat. They have a large area outside where there is live music, and the restaurant is an excellent place for special occasions. No matter what you are craving, there is something for everyone, including vegetarians and gluten-free patrons.

The kitchen is dedicated to serving its guests the finest ingredients, and Marina Grill works carefully with the local fishermen, butchers, farmers and brewers. This commitment means that the food served is of the highest quality. Located on the marina, the menu is seafood-heavy, with fresh seafood right from the ocean. However, there are excellent choices from the farm, too. Three favorites are the Shrimp and Grits, sauteed shrimp, pork belly, and grits in a tasso ham cream sauce; the Shrimp and Scallop Risotto, jumbo shrimp and scallops with saffron crab risotto; and the Crab-Stuffed Salmon, wild-caught salmon stuffed with crab cake filling with an old bay seasoning aioli. From the farm, there is the Braised Short Ribs, which fall off the bone with a sweet kalbi sauce; a Jerk Chicken with pineapple salsa and coconut rice; and for the vegetarians, a Center Cut Cauliflower, marinated with chimichurri and grilled. The bar has a wide variety of craft beers, many from North Carolina, as well as a wine selection and specialty cocktails mixed by talented mixologists.

The restaurant offers brunch from from 10:30 to 3:00 every Sunday. Come enjoy some brunch favorites and Marina grill favorites while sipping on Mimosas and Bloody Marys enjoying the stunning view of the Marina. There are classic brunch menu items like the Two Egg Breakfast and Steak and Eggs. Some dishes of note are the Crab Cake Benedict, a toasted English muffin topped with a crab cake with a poached egg and Hollandaise; the Chicken and Waffles, Belgian waffle with Nashville hot chicken and peach Bourbon syrup; the Monte Cristo, a French toast dip grilled ham and cheese sandwich with strawberry compote and three of our three of the fans favorites the Shrimp and Grits the Jerk Chicken and the Crab Stuffed Salmon.

The restaurant has a large outdoor area in the summer with live music daily. You can dine alfresco on the huge outdoor patio listening to the music or have a wonderful meal in the indoor dining room, then head out for some post-dinner drinks and a show. Two other larger venues are right next door that have concerts throughout the summer.

The Marina Grill is also a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. The entire restaurant can be booked, and the beautiful marina is the perfect backdrop for your wedding or other event. The helpful staff will assist you with all of your plans, and with the partnership of the Marina Pier, the restaurant can handle groups of up to 2800 people in multiple venues. The staff at Marina Grill can make your occasion a special occasion that you will remember for the rest of your life.

The Marina Grill is a great place to bring friends and family for a meal they won’t forget. The food is top-rate and delicious. The chefs use only the finest ingredients from the farm to the table and from the sea to the table. Combine this food with many craft beers from North Carolina, fine wines or specialty cocktails to enhance your dining pleasure. During the summertime, this is the place to come for live music, and if you’re moored in the marina and don’t feel like getting off the boat, they will deliver food right to your boat. This is a premiere restaurant in the Wilmington area. It is perfect for all your special occasions, and please don’t forget brunch on Sunday. You won’t regret it.

We as a couple, came in on a Monday evening around 5ish and were immediately seated. Our server was Landry and was very friendly and helpful with suggesting items on the menu. We had the Bourbon Smash and Old Fashioned Paloma for cocktails and the Tuna Nachos to start. The nachos were delicious. Loved the ponzu? and sriracha sauce drizzled over. For dinner I had the Surf & Turf special, fried shrimp with NY steak over mashed and seasonal veggies and my boyfriend had the Scallop & Shrimp Risotto. I managed to get one bite of his because he inhaled it. My steak was cooked to perfection and my veggies were seasoned with citrus and were delicious. We finished off with a slice of Chocolate PB Cake and Bread Pudding with vanilla ice cream. It took a bit for the dessert to come out but rightfully so because the Bread Pudding came out warmed on a small skillet. Absolutely delicious and a large portion that I ended up boxing up. The atmosphere was relaxed on a New Year's night of watching Alabama v Michigan game. Very clean and smiling staff. Would love to come again on a weekend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Marina Grill, with an amazing ambience and food, and I must say, the experience was made even more delightful by our server, Douglas. From the moment we sat down, Douglas was attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough. He took the time to explain the menu in detail, offering recommendations based on our preferences, and ensured that every aspect of our meal was perfect. Not only was Douglas well-versed in the menu, but he also had a genuine passion for the food and the overall dining experience, which truly shone through in his service. He was patient with our questions and requests, and his attention to detail was impeccable. The ambience of the restaurant was also exceptional, providing the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. The combination of great food, wonderful service, and a beautiful atmosphere made for a truly unforgettable evening. I would highly recommend dining at this restaurant and specifically requesting Douglas as your server. His professionalism, competence, and friendly demeanor truly set him apart, making our dining experience truly exceptional.

Sat outside. Dog friendly. Suggest you bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen for lunchtime. Easy to navigate GF on the menue. Crab dip (not gf) and scallop appetizers yummy. Only 3 scallops, which was enough for us. Lunch entrees at our table were French dip. Cesar salad with grilled chicken and grilled chicken sandwich with pimento cheese. All food was very tasty. Large portions. Bathroom clean. Server friendly. Sister restaurant next door also bog friendly.

It was recommended by a friend who came a few nights ago. The place was mostly empty, but they made us wait 30 minutes (she literally put that into the reservation system when we checked in - sure enough, the txt came in 29 minutes later). They parked us next to a very large, full, and loud table, even when half place was empty. Apparently, on Saturday evening, they have a horribly limited menu. It looks like a cheap to-go fry house menu - I can't even read it, but it's attached. Steaks were not cooked to temperature, were chewy. Fries were cold and somewhat soggy - but had cheap looking sauces. No veggies or salad options. Basically, it's like a bad diner. There are many better places in town... at much lower costs.... The strawberry lemonade was really good, and necessary.....
