Crescent City Fishing offers fishing charters in Crescent City, California, and Brookings and Gold Beach, Oregon. The captain and owner of the company, Steve Huber, has nearly 30 years of professional fishing experience and leads the charters. The charters target a variety of fish, such as Rockfish, Lingcod, and Cabezon, in all three locations. Additionally, there are trips available for Halibut, King Salmon, and Albacore Tuna. During crab season, Captain Steve will even drop some pots to catch some crab as an added bonus for the day’s fishing.

Crescent City Fishing offers two boats for fishing trips. The first one is a 25′ Fuzion, which is perfect for catching near-shore Rockfish, Lingcod, and Halibut, as well as for river fishing. The newer addition to their fleet is the 28′ Alumaweld Pacific “Out of the Box.” This boat has the power to get you to the fishing grounds quickly and comfortably, with enough seating for everyone in the cabin. It is equipped with top-of-the-line fishing equipment and also has a porta-potty.

Crescent City, California, offers excellent fishing opportunities. Captain Steve can take you jigging with light tackle for a variety of Rockfish species, including Black, Blues, Deacon, Canary, China, and Vermilions. You can also target Lingcod, Halibut, and Albacore Tuna. The fishing season for Rockfish, Lingcod, Cabezon, and Halibut doesn’t start until May in California. Albacore Tuna, on the other hand, are available throughout the year, with the best time to target them being late summer and early fall. Unfortunately, as of now, the California King and Coho Salmon season has been canceled.

In Brookings, Oregon, the fishing regulations are more relaxed. There are no regulations for Rockfish, Lingcod, or Cabezon, which are available year-round. Halibut is in season from May to September, and King Salmon is available for a short time from March to May. There is great Albacore Tuna fishing in Oregon from June to September. Fishing with Crescent City Fishing out of Brookings, Oregon, starts in February.

The open season for crab fishing in California runs from November to July. In Oregon, it generally runs from December to August. During this period, Captain Steve drops a few crab pots on your way out to the fishing grounds, hoping to catch some fresh crabs on your way back to the docks.

Captain Steve offers a variety of fishing trips for up to six people. These include 6-hour Rock and Lingcod trips, Rockfish and Crab trips, Halibut trips, Ocean Salmon trips (only in Oregon), a combination of Ocean Salmon and Rockfish (also only in Oregon), and a 7-hour Albacore trip. If you have a larger group or want to organize a corporate outing, Captain Steve can also work with other boats in the area to accommodate your needs.

Crescent City Fishing Charters offers top-notch fishing gear, including Stryker rods, Daiwa reels, and a wide selection of tackle. Your catch will be skillfully cleaned, filleted and packaged, ready for you to take home and enjoy.

Fishing with Captain Steve and Crescent City Fishing is an exhilarating experience. The waters they fish in are well-protected, providing a calmer environment and ideal conditions for catching Rockfish and Lingcod. These waters are among the best fishing spots on the Northern California and Southern Oregon coast. Captain Steve enjoys welcoming families with small children who are first-time anglers. He loves teaching kids to appreciate his sport. However, Crescent City Fishing is also perfect for seasoned anglers, as Captain Steve will guide you to the fish and even teach you some of his tips and tricks. If you’re looking for a memorable fishing trip, come to Crescent City or Brookings and book with Captain Steve and Crescent City Fishing.
