On your fishing trip, you’ll explore the barrier islands like Sapelo, St. Catherines, and Ossabaw. These areas are renowned for their rich fish populations, making them top fishing destinations on the Georgia Coast. You can expect one of the best success rates in the area, and the moment a large Trout or Redfish hits your bait will be unforgettable. You’ll mainly engage in popping corks or bottom fishing, and we organize full-day outings for groups ranging from 1 to 8 people. Don’t worry about equipment; we provide all the necessary fishing gear and bait, including live shrimp and artificial alternatives.
Your charter will depart from a variety of picturesque marinas such as Thunderbolt, Yellow Bluff, Blue N Hall, Shellman Bluff, Kilkenny Marina in Richmond Hill, Ft. McAllister Marina, Half Moon Marina, and Two Way Fish Camp in Darien, Ga, including St. Simons Island. Each captain is not only insured but also holds a USCG fishing guide license, covering all passengers on the boat.

a year agoWe had an amazing time with Captain Drew. He was great with my 13 year old son and his friend. He was knowledgeable and friendly. Best of all we caught tons of fish! Would most definitely book with these guys again!

3 weeks agoBooked a half day trip with Capital Jay and he put us with Captain Bill and Captain Maggie. The weather was perfect and we filled a cooler with reds and trout. Definitely would do it again.

2 years agoI was a little worried that I was not being booked with Captain Jay. I received a message from him saying that my guide was Captain Tucker. I didn’t know what to expect… I showed up with a friend who only ever caught a small blue gill, nothing else. Captain Tucker set him up on an abundant pocket and my buddy set a PR and caught the first fish on the first cast! We didn’t go during the peak of any one season, but I was thoroughly entertained and caught the fish of a lifetime, a beautiful Creville Jack. I never thought we would catch anything like this on an inland trip, but Captain Tucker had the right rig and we were in the right place at the right time. While we didn’t fill the boat, we did catch a bunch of fish. Stop thinking about it and just book. This team is amazing. I’ll be referring them to all my friends.

2 years agoWe had an awesome experience booking an inshore trip with Captain Jay! He set us up with Captain Bill and we departed out of Blue N Hall Marina. We caught Sheepshead, Spotted Trout, Red Drum and several small Black Sea Bass. Captain Bill was so much fun! Will definitely be back, and next time will book with Captain Jay for an offshore trip. Highly recommend booking with Captain Jay and Coastal GA Fishing!

a year agoHad a great time with Captain Bill! Caught some big sharks right off the shore. He did a great job of helping us find and land fish when we had trouble finding reds at the beginning of the day. He also did a great job of making sure we were having fun through telling funny stories and not worrying about the time. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good time when they’re in St. Simon’s.
