Owned and operated by Captain Art Boyd, who has been fishing since childhood, Art’s Adventures provides a deep understanding of fish behavior and habitat. Captain Art moved to Florida in August 1993 and has fished and dived these waters non-stop. He has made hundreds of dives off the Florida coast and discovered numerous uncharted fish and lobster havens. If the fish aren’t biting, Captain Art will go down and fix the problem. After retiring from the Air Force in June 2003, he now focuses on fishing and diving.

Art’s Adventures Fishing Charters offers several trip options. The full-day (9 hours) trip travels up to 30 miles offshore to catch Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, King Mackerel, Cobia, Tripletail, Grouper, Snapper, Sea Bass, Vermillion Snapper, and Mangrove Snapper. The ¾ day (7 hours) and half-day (5 hours) trips target the same species but are shorter in duration and distance. The charter also offers scattering of funeral ashes at sea, including a wreath, rose petals, and a certificate of scattering. Tournaments run from May through August.

The “Nancy Jane II” is a 34ft Michael Fitz Custom Sport Fishing Yacht, perfect for Cocoa Beach fishing. It is powered by twin 330hp Cummins diesel engines, capable of cruising at speeds up to 25 knots. The yacht is equipped with top navigational and fish-finding electronics. We could not be happier with the full day trip we took with Captain Art and first mate John. He contacted me a few days prior to let me know the weather looked good but he would keep an eye on it and contact me the day before to verify. The day before we got lucky and he let us know the weather allowed for us to take our trip. I'm glad he puts his customers safety above taking out a charter. We had a group of 6 and all of us caught at least 5 fish each! The trip far exceeded our expectations. John was super patient with all of us and did an amazing job teaching us tips and tricks to get fish on the line. We caught so many fish! This was my first deep sea charter but several others in my group had been on different charters before and Art's Advetures was by far the best. I can't wait to go again and won't hesitate to contact Art for the next one. Thank you Captain Art and John for the amazing experience!

Had a blast! Took our group to the best fishing spots. Hooked us to catch basically anything we wanted. We were able to keep a decent amount of fish and saw tons of dolphins, turtles, flying fish, and sharks! 100% recommend!

I had the pleasure going out with Captain Art and his Mate Sebastian 12/2/17. We had an excellent experience and Captain Art sure knows the waters as we caught our bag limit of King Fish along with a number of Sharks, Snappers and Trigger fish. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite Red Snapper season as we caught at least three 20-25lbs but released them. All in all was an amazing day of fishing and would recommend them to anyone and will absolutely be going out with them again in the future.

Chartered a trip to scatter ashes. Captain Art was helpful and informative the whole time. The wreath and circle ceremony was touching and really helped get the closure we needed. FYI: Captain Art was very compassionate but still a no BS kind of guy, which is exactly the way it should be when you expect to go out on a boat trip and get home safely. 100% recommend.

03/26/22 We hired Art's Adventures to take us out to scatter our loved one's ashes. We could not have more satisfied with our experience and it was the perfect day. Art was so professional in accommodating our specific requests, while at the same time using his expertise to offer pressure-free suggestions. He provided a beautiful wreath, rose petals, a keepsake memento, and a certificate. He was respectful in allowing us privacy to perform the ceremony and to grieve. We could not have imagined a better experience.
