One of the area’s best charters, Texas Saltwater Adventures, will make your fishing trip full of excitement and unforgettable moments. With a wide range of fishing charters from Galveston, Freeport and Surfside and so many different types of fish to target, they can guarantee that you will have fun out at sea.

Captain Leaf Potter is a seasoned captain with many years of fishing the waters off Galveston, Surfside and Freeport. He knows all the tricks and techniques to put you on the fish. He specializes in tours for various species of fish and can provide fun excursions for all levels of angler. Captain Potter has some of the finest fishing guides to ensure you have a great day fishing with them.

Texas Saltwater Adventures has a variety of boats. There are boats for taking you inshore and others for offshore fishing. They are all safe and fully equipped so that you have an exciting day fishing.

You will find Redfish, Trout and Flounder by fishing inshore in the channels, inlets and bays. Head a little farther out, about 20-30 miles from the coast, where you can hook up with Red Snapper and other Snapper varieties, Cobia, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Tarpon and more. Heading further out towards the oil rigs 40+ miles away and you will be rewarded with giant snapper, Amberjacks, Grouper, Wahoo and Mahi Mahi, Tuna and Sharks. And if you go out to the deep blue, you will find the giant billfish of your dreams; Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Swordfish, along with Tilefish, Mahi, Tuna and Wahoo.

For inshore fishing, a half-day charter may be all you want or need, but to go further offshore, you must think about ¾ day and full-day trips to reach the oil rigs. And to go after the monster, you will need at least an extended day trip, but overnight and multiple-day charters are available.

The Texas Saltwater Adventures guides use many techniques, including drifting natural bait, jigging or bottom fishing in the reefs and wrecks and trolling offshore.

All rods, reels and bait are included, only thing fishing-related you might have to cover is fuel charges for longer trips, but the captains recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing a hat, sunscreen and polarized sunglasses. Consider bringing a camera or video recorder to take pictures or videos of your fun time onboard.

There are many spots on the Texas Gulf Coast that Texas Saltwater Adventures fishes out of, so no matter where you are vacationing, they are easy to find. When you spend a day with them on the Texas water, you will have memories that will last a lifetime.

Always a fantastic experience with Texas Saltwater Charters! Captain Cole and Josh delivered another top-tier Galveston fishing trip, this time we landed five beautiful Mahi Mahi along with a solid catch. Appreciate the update on the extended Red Snapper season, already planning our next offshore fishing charter!

We booked two boats with Texas Saltwater Charters, one dedicated to spearfishing and the other focused on targeting red snapper and kingfish. The kingfish were fierce, but the red snapper action more than made up for it. Couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water!

Our group had an excellent experience with Texas Saltwater Charters. Booking the trip was smooth, communication was prompt, and the fishing action was fantastic for everyone on our team. We also made use of their local lodging partner, which made the whole trip even more convenient and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to fish in Galveston!

Captain Cole with Texas Saltwater Charters came through when another charter canceled last minute, and we couldn’t be more grateful. He had an open spot and made our fishing trip in Galveston unforgettable. We had a blast on the water, caught plenty of fish, and he even cleaned them for us to take home. If you’re looking for a reliable, fun, and professional fishing charter in Galveston, book with Captain Cole, you won’t regret it!”

We had our annual guys’ trip almost ruined when our original charter canceled, but Captain Cole at Texas Saltwater Charters came through and got us on the water last minute. He’s easygoing, professional, and knows the Galveston Bay system inside and out. We had an incredible day catching black drum, sheepshead, speckled trout, and redfish, and brought home more than enough fillets for the three of us. Whether you’re visiting Galveston for fishing, flounder gigging, or even duck hunting, Captain Cole is your go-to. Can’t wait to book another trip soon!
