Awesome day with Capt Dave!! My husband caught his first tarpon!! We were on fish all day-not to mention having a pod of dolphin play with the boat!! We will be fishing with Capt Dave again.

Captain Dave Perkins knows his fishery! He is a great captain. He is also super friendly. I called him last minute for a charter, and luckily he had a cancellation. We caught a bunch of speckled sea trout, lady fish, and a dozen snook. I also hooked a huge shark, but it got off. We also saw a bunch of Dolphins. I am an avid angler but my friend had never fished before. Captain Dave was able to put us both on fish. Regardless of your skill level, Captain Dave Perkins should be your go-to backwater fishing guide. Fishing aside, it was breath-taking to be out on the water where we went.

Had such a great trip! Dave provides a great, private expedition into Florida Bay and Everglades, just what me and my newlywed wife needed. Dave was personable, and the trip from booking to finish was laid back. Beyond the fishing, which was great (first Snook and Bull Shark we ever caught!), Dave provided so much knowledge and a keen eye to point out the many wonders of the Florida Bay. Beyond being a guide, Dave and his blog proved a great resource in all of the local spots to hang and eat. Looking forward to booking another trip in the future. This is a 10/10 recommend!

Our trip with another captain was cancelled so I reached out to Captain Dave to see if he was available. He was able to get us out and put us on the fish in less than ideal conditions! We caught A TON of snook, trout, and jack. We even caught a jewfish. We had a blast and will definitely be booking another trip with him in the future.

Dave is an easy going but hard working guide that will put you on fish one way or another. His determination was much appreciated and fishing with him was both comfortable and fun. Great guy all around that does things the right way and has tremendous respect for the fish and environment he works in. From catching fresh live bait to making sure the fish are released carefully, to cleaning up trash and debris from the waters on our way in - Dave is who you want to fish with and support as a professional guide. I recommend 6+ hrs as some of the better water is 20-30 minutes in the backcountry. We caught a huge variety of fish and fished multiple live baits and plastics with high quality spin and fly available. I’ve fished with many professional guides over the years Dave is at the top of of the list for many important reasons. Thank you again Dave and I will see you again soon!
