Top Gun Charters has two beautiful Hatteras Sportfishing Yachts, the 41′ Top Gun and her big sister, the 45′ Top Gun II. Both vessels are state of the art with the latest in fish finding and sonar equipment. They were built for speed and made for serious fishing. But they are also built for comfort, with air-conditioned salons for resting while not fishing. But who wants to do that when there are trophy fish in the water?
Miami is famous for its Sailfishing, and Top Gun is one of the top charters for catching these fun, fast fish. Along with Sailfish, the waters have all the other trophies you dream of; Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Sharks, Marlin and Swordfish. There are also plenty of reef fish in the many reef systems and wrecks that dot the coast; Snapper, Grouper, Amberjacks, Cobia, Mackerel and Sharks.
Kite fishing is the technique of choice for Sailfish, but Captain Nel has a lot of techniques for different fish. Trolling, Run and Gun, Deep Drop, and Day/Nighttime Swordfishing are just a few.
Top Gun offers so many different charters on both boats. Half-day charters will get you out on the water and give you an excellent time to fish the reefs and wrecks. Full-day charters will get you deeper off the coast, where you can concentrate on the monsters out there. There are also charters specifically designed to target one or two fish, like overnight Tuna trips and day and night Swordfish charters. Captain Nel can also customize the perfect excursion for you to meet all of your angling needs. Trips to the Bahamas are also possible.
Captain Nel is a Daiwa Captain, so custom rods with state-of-the-art Daiwa reels, terminal tackle, dead bait, and ice and licenses are provided. Live bait is fished for on the way out. All you need to bring is sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, a hat or visor, white-soled shoes, a long t-shirt, rain gear, food and drinks, a camera, and seasickness pills if needed.
Let Top Gun and Captain Nel take you on a magical time on the Miami waters. You will leave with lasting memories and a cooler full of tasty fish.
