Captain Alex Miller, a native of St. Augustine and founder of Drop Down Charters, is an experienced fisherman with a 100-ton master USCG license. Drop Down Charters offers two amazing boats for your fishing adventures. The Carolina Custom can accommodate up to six guests and is equipped with new 900HP Turbo Diesels, an airconditioned cabin, and the finest electronics for your comfort and safety and to put you on the fish during offshore, bottom or trolling excursions. The 181 Mako Flats Boat is perfect for three guests, featuring a 130HP Yamaha motor, I Pilot Trolling Motor and Garmin Electronics, ideal for flats or inshore/near shore fishing trips. Drop Down Charters specializes in targeting a diverse range of fish species. Nearshore, we target Cobia, Sharks, Grouper, Snapper and Bull Reds, along with other popular game fish. Inshore, we target Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder and Tarpon. Offshore, we target Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Sailfish and the occasional Marlin, along with other exceptional bottom-feeding species.

Drop Down Charters offers diverse techniques for inshore, nearshore, and offshore fishing adventures. Spin casting, trolling, jigging, live and soft bait, and hard plugs are used for inshore trophy species. Bottom fishing nearshore on wrecks and reefs produces tasty reef fish. Offshore fishing excursions are always a blast, trolling with baitfish or high-speed lures for giant pelagics, deep dropping for big reef fish, and targeting weed lines and birds for the bigger catch. Drop Down Charters offers nearshore and offshore/deep-sea fishing excursions, including Gulfstream trolling. These charters can accommodate up to 6 anglers and range from 4 to 12 hours. Inshore fishing excursions are also available for up to 3 anglers and are perfect for kids. Our very competitive pricing varies based on the duration of the trip and the number of anglers.
