This place was amazing!!! The room was perfect and stocked with snacks and drinks! The snacks and alcohol are an additional charge, but the fridge was stocked with soda, sparkling water, almond milk, juice, and plain water all complimentary! They also had complimentary crackers and cheese dip! Bathroom was large and modern with great finishes! There's a happy hour every night with free drinks, and they deliver breakfast to your door every morning in a cute little picnic basket! Location is perfect, less than a block from all the shopping in King Street! 10/10 recommend!!

Title: Charming Stay with Great Staff and Rooftop Bar in Downtown Charleston My stay at The Restoration in downtown Charleston, SC was a delightful experience overall. The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making our visit all the more enjoyable. The room was well-maintained and provided a comfortable retreat during our time in the city. One of the highlights of our stay was the variety of amenities offered, including a delightful happy hour featuring wine and cheeses which gave us the opportunity to mingle with other guests and make new friends. The rooftop bar boasted an absolutely breathtaking view and served up fantastic drinks, adding a touch of luxury to our evenings. However, there were a couple of issues that detracted from an otherwise excellent stay. Firstly, we were disappointed to find a dirty carpet in our room, which was a small but noticeable blemish on an otherwise clean and well-kept space. Additionally, we encountered a misunderstanding regarding the dog fee. While we were informed of a $74 per night fee for our dog, we were unexpectedly charged $250 despite not having our pet with us for a full 24 hours, leading to some confusion and disappointment. In summary, The Restoration offers a charming and pleasant stay in downtown Charleston, with a friendly staff, clean accommodations, and enjoyable amenities. While the dirty carpet and the misleading dog fee were drawbacks, they did not significantly overshadow our positive experience. I would certainly consider returning for another visit in the future, and I recommend it to others seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in the heart of Charleston.

This was such a lovely experience. The valet cost was cheap and more helpful compared to others nearby. The rooms are huge, super clean, and comfortable. This hotel rivals 5* accommodations in Europe. During a downpour, the valet used the hotel’s jeep to drive us around town through flooded areas. The breakfast baskets were a nice touch. The food itself was nothing to write home about, but it was very nice to have it delivered to my door. The housekeeping and grounds staff were so kind and always offering help. I will 100% stay at this hotel on my returns to Charleston and will check out their Asheville location as well.

Not only is the Restoration Hotel such a beautiful hotel in downtown Charleston but what made this place super special was the amazing service and kindness of the entire staff. They offer free Charcuterie and wine for happy hour, free room snacks (a decadent selection) and a refrigerator stocked with cold drinks. Every morning they leave an adorable basket with a lovely breakfast at your door. The rooms are huge and ours had a kitchen in it. The bathroom was modern and spacious with a large rain shower. We were driven and picked up on request in the Restoration jeep complimentary. There is a beautiful roof top restaurant that is such a cool vibe with great views of downtown. Every part of the space is lovely, cozy and just makes you feel the Charleston southern hospitality. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Trip and Josh for your extraordinary service! You make it hard to go back to the real world where kind and thoughtful service seems to be a thing of the past. Thank you to all the staff for an amazing weekend in Charleston!

We found a COCKROACH in our suite on the residence side. There’s no hot water during the day time so forget about showering. Front desk never answers the phone so there’s no service. Breakfast was a measly bowl of dried oatmeal plus a small bit of fruit. This should be a at best a 3 star hotel with zero service. Nobody to help you with your luggage even.
