Camelot Kona Fishing Charters offers a top-notch fishing experience aboard their 34-foot pleasure craft, the Camelot. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology like GPS and fish finders, custom Tuna tubes, Penn downriggers, and custom outriggers and, of course, a fighting chair, this boat has everything you need for a successful fishing trip. It also boasts clean restrooms, a refrigerator, and ample space for guests to relax and enjoy the ride. With plenty of power to handle any water conditions, the Camelot is truly fit for a king.
Species targeted are the biggest game fish off the Kona coast of Hawaii, including the granddaddy of all game fish – the Blue Marlin. Also on the list are Mahi Mahi, known for their incredibly fast swimming speeds and huge size. Ono, or wahoo, are among the fastest fish in the world, while the Ahi, or yellowfin tuna, tests an angler’s strength and endurance. Along with these are many other billfish like black and striped marlin, sailfish, broadbill and short bill swordfish, and short bill spearfish. The reefs also hold impressive catches, including Large Snapper, Grouper, and Amberjack.
Camelot Kona Fishing Charters is renowned for employing various effective techniques to maximize the chances of catching fish depending on what you are targeting and the conditions. Light Tackle and Heavy Tackle are popular methods that cater to different preferences. Trolling, using live bait or high speed, is also effective. 5 months agoWe had the most amazing experience with Camelot Fishing during our Hawaii vacation! The crew was both knowledgeable and incredibly fun, making every moment on the water a blast. We were thrilled to catch a short bill spearfish within the first half hour and, just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we landed a whopping 238 lb blue marlin shortly after! This adventure was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip. If you're looking for an unforgettable fishing adventure, look no further!

2 weeks agoBooked both a private and shared charter with Camelot. The owner Robert is great and very attentive to all customers needs. I ride with captain Lincoln for both charters and had an amazing time. Lincoln is a native Hawaiian and recommended great attractions for me while I was on the Big Island. He fishes hard and does everything he can to get his customers hooked up he is also a very gracious host and a kind hearted soul. I was fortunate enough to get to spend time with two separate deckhands that were available for the two different days we fished together. Makai was a very wonderful deckhand he was knowable about the waters we fished and also recommended some great diving spots on the island. James was the second deckhand I had the pleasure of fishing with he definitely knows how to handle the fish and takes very good care of the catch. Very accurate with his galf shots and strong as a bull. I was very impressed with the way he was able to handline in the fish into the boat with ease. I am blessed with an amazing experience with the Camelot crew and would recommend this company to anyone looking for a wonderful time on the ocean.

a month agoThe owner was very responsive to all our inquiries, responding immediately. The captain Lincoln and deck hand Makai were super friendly and knowledgeable about fishing. They made us feel welcome and comfortable during the entire excursion. When it came time to land a HUGE marlin, they were patient and coached us through the entire process. We highly recommend booking with Camelot Kona fishing!!!

6 months agoCaptain Robert and his mate James were fantastic. We had a great time on a 4 hour trip on the Camelot. James and Robert were greats hosts and even explained the history of the fishery and showed us the bills from several marlin that they had caught in the past. The Camelot is a very comfortable boat and was perfect for my wife and I on our honeymoon. We had 3 bites during our trip (1 blue marlin, one spearfish and a very large Yellowfin tuna). While we only managed to land the tuna, that is the nature of fishing and we had a fantastic experience. James was an excellent coach for my wife as she reeled in a fish that weighed as much as she does. Overall a great experience and would book again!
