3 months agoPros: very helpful and friendly staff Cons: picture of the $27 burger is attached.. Overall I would say it’s a great spot for happy hour, but we won’t be coming back for dinner, even though we are locals and this spot is close to our house. The menu is not vegan-friendly, but the 2 bartenders taking our order were very helpful and helped us figure out how to make some dishes vegan, but any alteration to a dish is an automatic +$4 per dish. We had three beers, one old fashioned, one burger, one salad, and one artichoke chips + ~25% tip = $140

2 months agoA friend from Sacramento told us that Cold Water was his “regular stop” whenever he was in the area so we went last week to check it out. We will DEFINITELY be back! We had come from a business lunch so unfortunately we didn’t try any of the food this time but the hot buttered rum hit the spot on a snowy afternoon! Loved the whole vibe of the place and the staff were really welcoming.

3 months agoI didn't order food in particular, but I ordered IPA beer and pretzel, but it's a bit difficult to evaluate the food. The beer taste was normal and the atmosphere was good. There is a propane firefit on the outdoor table and you can enjoy the beautiful lights in the evening.

4 months agoI love their truffle burger (medium doneness) with truffle fries. The burger was juicy and flavorful. The sauce it came with tied everything together but the burger was good even without it. I will come back again to eat this burger the next time I'm in the area. The waiter that served us was very attentive and helpful. While I was unable to decide between two beers to order, the waiter kindly offered to let me have a taste of both beers to ensure I ordered a beer I would enjoy with my meal. This enhanced my experience here. I ended up ordering the Big Mack IPA and enjoyed it with my burger. The parking lot is next to the restaurant and had plenty of space at the time of my visit (Saturday, late-lunch hours).

3 months agoThis is our absolute favorite place in Tahoe! Food is delicious! You have to have the elote dip! Portions are very satisfying! I’m a big guy and never leave hungry. For drinks: Campfire coco for me and the hot buttered rum for the wife. So so so good! Everyone is so friendly and nice!
