Owned and operated by Kevin and Lucinda Sidelinger, the lodge reflects their deep connection to Alaska’s wilderness, which has been their home for over 40 years. Originally from opposite sides of the country. Kevin from Maine and Lucinda from Oregon, they were both drawn to Alaska’s rugged beauty. Their journey together began while working at an Alaskan lodge, where they fell in love with sharing the state’s natural splendor. They’ve lived a life of self-sufficiency, from building and running a successful brown bear photography guiding business on the Alaskan Peninsula to operating a thriving oyster farm in Kachemak Bay for two decades. Their life’s work has culminated in Alaska’s Ridgewood Lodge, a labor of love and the fulfillment of their dream to share the wilderness with visitors.
Guests at Alaska’s Ridgewood Lodge enjoy fresh, local cuisine with a strong emphasis on Alaska’s renowned seafood. While the lodge offers fixed menus highlighting the best of Alaska’s flavors, including homemade breads and vegetarian sides, special dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice.
