Alaska’s Ridgewood Lodge in Halibut Cove is a secluded, hand-crafted eco-lodge offering a luxurious yet rustic retreat in one of Alaska’s most stunning natural settings. Located across the bay from Homer, the lodge is surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Kachemak Bay State Park, the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, and the Kenai Fjords. Guests enjoy comfortable accommodations featuring high-speed wireless internet, private baths, and panoramic views from 360-degree wrap-around decks. The lodge showcases custom hand-crafted woodwork, spacious dining and seating areas, and expansive windows that frame views of the surrounding mountains, ocean, and estuaries. The grounds feature lawns, ponds, and gardens filled with native Alaskan vegetation, providing peaceful spots for relaxation and social gatherings.

Owned and operated by Kevin and Lucinda Sidelinger, the lodge reflects their deep connection to Alaska’s wilderness, which has been their home for over 40 years. Originally from opposite sides of the country. Kevin from Maine and Lucinda from Oregon, they were both drawn to Alaska’s rugged beauty. Their journey together began while working at an Alaskan lodge, where they fell in love with sharing the state’s natural splendor. They’ve lived a life of self-sufficiency, from building and running a successful brown bear photography guiding business on the Alaskan Peninsula to operating a thriving oyster farm in Kachemak Bay for two decades. Their life’s work has culminated in Alaska’s Ridgewood Lodge, a labor of love and the fulfillment of their dream to share the wilderness with visitors.

Guests at Alaska’s Ridgewood Lodge enjoy fresh, local cuisine with a strong emphasis on Alaska’s renowned seafood. While the lodge offers fixed menus highlighting the best of Alaska’s flavors, including homemade breads and vegetarian sides, special dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice.

Each stay includes exclusive, personalized service, guided activities, water taxi transportation from Homer Harbor, and access to all lodge amenities. Rooms are offered on a double occupancy basis with a three-night minimum, and all bookings cover transportation, taxes, park fees, housekeeping, and daily guided services. The lodge also provides group buyout options, perfect for families or larger groups seeking exclusive use of the property and a private wilderness experience.

Alaska’s Ridgewood Lodge combines luxury and ruggedness to provide an authentic Alaskan experience in one of the state’s most beautiful and remote locations. Kevin and Lucinda, along with their family, warmly welcome guests to their home in Halibut Cove, sharing their deep knowledge of the wilderness and their love for Alaska. Book your stay and immerse yourself in the untouched beauty of this remote corner of the state.
