For fishing in Maryland, most people know of fishing for Rockfish in the Chesapeake, but for anglers looking for a real day of action, then you need to take a trip to the east coast and hit up Ocean City. Ocean City, along with being a tourist destination for its beach, is world known as a White Marlin mecca. Still, there are so many other inshore and offshore fish to target. Plenty of Ocean City fishing charters concentrate on inshore fishing and others that will take you out to the deep waters. Whichever you decide, you are in for a day filled with fun and excitement. These charters are captained by local experienced guides and crew that will put you on the fish inshore and offshore.

Inshore there are many places to go to hook up with a variety of fish. Your Ocean City fishing charter can take you to the Nanticoke River, the Tangier Sound, the Bays, and nearshore fishing spots. The captains have been fishing these waters most of their lives and know many tips and tricks and hidden hotspots to ensure you will be bringing in fish after fish. Rockfish is the fish of choice, both for its fight and delicious taste, but it is not the only fish you can and will land during one of these inshore charters. You can also target Speckled Trout, Flounder, Bluefish and during some parts of the season, sharks. These charters are usually in calm waters, so they are perfect for families looking for a fun but relaxing day on the water.

Going offshore can test even the most experienced angler looking for more of a challenge. Many come from all over to get the chance to hook up with a White Marlin and the biggest White Marlin tournament, The White Marlin Open in August. These and more trophy fish like Blue Marlin, Swordfish, Sailfish, Tuna, Mahi Mahi and Wahoo are located at the Canyons. The Canyons are a dropoff that is located around 60 miles offshore and goes from 600 to 5000 ft. in depth. The summertime is the time for excellent offshore Shark fishing. If you do not want to go for a full extended day trip, you can go a little closer to shore to the wrecks offshore to fish for Seabass, Flounder, Cod, Triggerfish and Tautog.

Fishing in Ocean City is fun for all. There are epic battles offshore and more exciting fights inshore. Ocean City fishing charters are ready to take you out on the water for some reel-screaming action!
