If you are an avid fly fisherman or an angler that wants to learn to cast a fly, you must plan a trip to Belize to visit the original Tres Pescados Fly Shop on Ambergris Caye or the newly opened shop down in Hobart in the southern part of Belize. The Tres Pescados Fly Shops are the only full-service fly shop in Belize, and owner Wil Flack is an expert fishing in its clear blue water.
Captain Wil is the owner of the fly shop and the Belize Permit Club lodge and is a transplant from Northern Canada. He is considered one of the best Permit fishermen in the country. He loves taking his guests out on the flats to pursue the elusive Permit. This is Wil’s favorite place to fish in the world, and he has fished in some of the best spots around the world.
The inshore waters of the flats, mangroves and islands, along with the shallows of the second-largest reef system in the world, make Belize a definite spot to come for an absolutely amazing fishing experience. Tarpon, Snook, Permit and Bonefish can all be targeted by your expert guide.

4 months agoWORLD CLASS! This has been the best Fly Shop we’ve fished with in Belize so far. Staff are incredible and the knowledge they bring with them on the boat is remarkable. If you’re looking for the best place to catch beautiful Bones or elusive Permit, look no further. Tres Pescados is now #1 on our Belize fishing list.

6 years agoMy wife and I have never fly fished for salt water fish before we booked our trip with Tres Pescados Fly Shop. Booking was easy, our guide Rojo picked us up at our dock right on time, and he got us into fish with less than ideal weather conditions. This guy knows where the fish are! within a few casts of seeing our first schools of Bonefish and Permit we both hooked up, and there were many more after that. Such a great experience. I definitely recommend the folks at Tres Pescados Fly shop if you want to have a great time fishing the flats of Belize.

6 years agoI did some research before coming down here to fish the flats for my first time. Tres Pescados looked like a great place. Online booking was easy. The guide picked us up at our dock with the rods (spinning and fly) gear and yeti ready. We had tough conditions with too many clouds but our captain still put us on lots of bonefish. He even took us to hook a barracuda on a fly. He was extremely knowledgeable of Belize history which was cool to listen to his stories. I would absolutely fish with Tres Pescados again

5 years agoBooked a week with Permit Club out of Hopkins. I’m about a stone heavier thanks to Nancy’s excellent cooking, and 10 years older thanks to the excitement.....but I’m also richer for the experience.My 1st, 2nd and 3rd Permit. And if it hadn’t been for 2 Jacks and a snapper (that got eaten by a much bigger snapper) it might have been 5 or 6. Plus my 1st Barracuda, Needle and Box fish on the fly....all of which took flies intended for Permit.A trip I will never forget. ‘Magic’ Mike Anderson’s watercraft, boat handling and attitude out on the water was second to none.

2 years agoWe fished last week with Nate from Tres Pescados and had an awesome trip. While no guide can control the weather, they can control the experience. Nate did a tremendous job in helping my cast while also putting me on my first bonefish on fly. Nate worked all day hunting fish all over the island. Top notch guide and a pleasure to fish with. I look forward to our next opportunity to fish with Tres Pescados.
