One of the area’s best charters, Texas Saltwater Adventures, will make your fishing trip full of excitement and unforgettable moments. With a wide range of fishing charters from Galveston, Freeport and Surfside and so many different types of fish to target, they can guarantee that you will have fun out at sea.

Captain Leaf Potter is a seasoned captain with many years of fishing the waters off Galveston, Surfside and Freeport. He knows all the tricks and techniques to put you on the fish. He specializes in tours for various species of fish and can provide fun excursions for all levels of angler. Captain Potter has some of the finest fishing guides to ensure you have a great day fishing with them.

Texas Saltwater Adventures has a variety of boats. There are boats for taking you inshore and others for offshore fishing. They are all safe and fully equipped so that you have an exciting day fishing.

You will find Redfish, Trout and Flounder by fishing inshore in the channels, inlets and bays. Head a little farther out, about 20-30 miles from the coast, where you can hook up with Red Snapper and other Snapper varieties, Cobia, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Tarpon and more. Heading further out towards the oil rigs 40+ miles away and you will be rewarded with giant snapper, Amberjacks, Grouper, Wahoo and Mahi Mahi, Tuna and Sharks. And if you go out to the deep blue, you will find the giant billfish of your dreams; Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Swordfish, along with Tilefish, Mahi, Tuna and Wahoo.

For inshore fishing, a half-day charter may be all you want or need, but to go further offshore, you must think about ¾ day and full-day trips to reach the oil rigs. And to go after the monster, you will need at least an extended day trip, but overnight and multiple-day charters are available.

The Texas Saltwater Adventures guides use many techniques, including drifting natural bait, jigging or bottom fishing in the reefs and wrecks and trolling offshore.

All rods, reels and bait are included, only thing fishing-related you might have to cover is fuel charges for longer trips, but the captains recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing a hat, sunscreen and polarized sunglasses. Consider bringing a camera or video recorder to take pictures or videos of your fun time onboard.

There are many spots on the Texas Gulf Coast that Texas Saltwater Adventures fishes out of, so no matter where you are vacationing, they are easy to find. When you spend a day with them on the Texas water, you will have memories that will last a lifetime.

Awesome Day! Two boats- one for spearfishing, one for strictly red snapper and King. The King were very Scarface but the Red Snapper made it a perfect day. Absolutely Perfect Day.

Had to book a charter in short-order as my previous charter canceled last minute. The owner and wife were outstanding; punctual with providing information and getting us scheduled. They had Captain Matt lead our Charter; as other Charters were showing up 30 minutes early to purchase supplies, Matt showed up 5 minutes after our scheduled time. We then had to go catch bait; my previous Charters already had live bait caught when picking us up. I paid extra, as there were 5 of us on this Charter (makes sense); however Matt only allowed 2 rods (there were a couple instances at the end of the trip there were 3 rods) in the water, on a day in which fish weren’t biting…? We caught 2 king fish and 1 bull shark. I had my 2 daughters on the boat, and would had expected better language; I did appreciate that he smoked his cigarettes down wind.

One of the best half day fishing trips I’ve ever taken. The whole family spent a good 3 hours getting action and one of my boys hit the Texas Slam. Great Captain and Deckhand as well. Book these guys if you’re in Freeport. You’ll be happy you did!

Had a great time with Capt's Jack and Josh! Limited out on Red Snapper, got into some Dorado and Ling, caught a sand shark, too! Would definitely go again!

We did an 8hr open boat trip out of bridge bait Marina in Freeport. We had Capt Leaf and his 32’ Twin Vee Cat Hull with Twin Yamaha 300s. Solid boat with a great stable ride. Handled the seas great. Had Josh as our deckhand and he did a great job as well. We caught a 6 man limit of King fish within 45 minutes and a 6 man of snapper within of 45minutes. Captain Leaf put us on the fish. All solid fish! We are ready to book another trip!
