Surfside Beach has inshore opportunities for redfish, speckled trout, flounder, and even tarpon and offshore are reefs and oil rigs where red snapper, cobia, kingfish and Spanish mackerel are targeted. But you can go on an extended trip to the tuna grounds for tuna, mahi-mahi and more.

Galveston also has numerous spots. The most popular are the jetties with a wide variety of fish from redfish, Spanish mackerel and bull reds to cobia, pompano, many different trout species and sharks. There is also incredible offshore fishing for cobia, jack crevalle, amberjack, king mackerel, red snapper, mahi-mahi, tuna and you might get lucky and land a marlin or sailfish in the deepest waters.
