T-Kat Charters

Treasure Island is named for the pirates of lore, but serious anglers know the waters off this small island with the pristine white beaches are some of the world’s most incredible sportfishing spots. The grounds of the Central Gulf Coast are fertile with numerous species of fish, and Captain Tom Kate and T-Kat Charters know all about them all. Captain Tom has been fishing these waters for over 35 years and uses this knowledge to make your fishing trips unique and memorable.

The T-Kat is a very fast 31′ sportfishing boat with a Yanmar turbocharged 315 horsepower engine that generates a 26 mph cruising speed, so all fishing grounds are just this bit closer. She is equipped with the latest and best fish finding and navigation equipment like DPGS, Loran, and Sonar. There is plenty of room for six to fish comfortably without being crowded into each other.

T-Kat Charters has numerous charters and trips. Do you want a relaxing day nearshore fishing the reefs, or do you want to go deep for some of the hardest-hitting trophy fish? Whatever you are looking for, Captain Tom and his professional crew will get you on the fish. There are 1/2 day, 3/4 day, full-day, and specialty charters to hunt for Tuna, Amberjack, Grouper, and Snapper. You can choose from live bait or light tackle. You are in great hands with Captain Tom, no matter which choice or choices you decide on. Along with the Tuna, Amberjack, Grouper, and Snapper, other fish caught in these waters are Cobia, Kingfish, Tarpon, Barracuda, and Sailfish.

T-Kat Charters is located in John’s Pass between St. Petersburg and Clearwater Beach and is a short drive from Tampa. Enjoy rod bending, jaw-dropping action. T-Kat is perfect for the novice to the most experienced because Captain Tom has the knowledge and expertise to get you on the fish, reeling in that fish of your dreams. There are charters of up to 6 aboard the T-Kat. Still, Captain Tom can arrange with other experienced captains from the region to accommodate any size party for special parties or corporate outings.
