J-Dock Fishing Charters in Seward, Alaska, is the best of the best! It has the best boats! It has the best Captains and crew! We fish Ressurection Bay and Prince William Sound, both on all angler’s bucket lists for a place to fish in the world. All this means that your time with J-Dock will be a once-in-a-lifetime fishing charter you will never forget.

J-Dock is a family-run business, and all of the Captains, Deckhands, Packagers, and everyone else are all family. J-Dock has 6 Captains with over 50 years of experience, and they all want nothing more than to put you on the fish all day. No matter your level of experience, an avid angler who has fished for years or a first-time fisherman, with their exceptional Captains and deckhands, J-Dock provides quality service, experience and knowledge to ensure a fantastic time.

Our boats are all state-of-the-art. There are four boats in the fleet. There is the Artic Cat, a 36 ft. Armstrong Marine that can accommodate six anglers, the Predator and Tailwatch, both 40 ft. Armstrong Marines that can host 10 – 12 fishermen. There is also Glacier Bear, a luxury Delta Marine that is used for long-range fishing trips. These boats have the best fish-finding and navigation equipment, heated interiors, bathrooms and full wrap-around decks.

There are four main fish in the Alaskan waters; Halibut, Salmon, Rockfish, and Lingcod. Catching all these in one day is known as “The Grande Slam,” which is a goal for all our Captains. All of J-Docks charters are multi-species. There are Salmon/Rockfish, Halibut/Rockfish, Ling Cod/Salmon/Rockfish, Multi-Species, and six packs. These are all shared charters unless you want to book private charters or parties. There are also long-range fishing options with sleeping arrangements, both on a boat, at a remote lodge, or both. Many of these charters depend on fishing seasons, so call ahead.

The charters have top-of-the-line rods, reels and tackle. J-Dock recommends many layers of comfortable, warm clothing, including socks and waterproof gear, including shoes, because it can get cold in Alaska. You can bring hats and gloves, and because the sun does shine, sunglasses and sunscreen may be helpful. You will also need an Alaska fishing license before heading to sea.

There are waves during your charter, so take Dramamine, ginger pills, or sea sickness medicine.

When you return to the docks, the Captains bring your catch to the hanging station for pictures you can show and brag about. Then the fish is expertly filleted and packaged, ready for you to ship home or take home on the airplane.

A day on the water with the J-Dock family will be a day you will always remember. See why so many of our guests come back year after year.

Bucket List trip. I took my 4 sons & grandson. 1st day on the Tenacious. The Captain was fantastic. We were on the fish all day. Ryan and the crew did an amazing job. J Dock all the way. 2nd day on the Off Shore Huntress. We has the same crew. We limited out by 11:30. We saw a large podcast of Humpback whales feeding & a pod of Killer whales hunting. Fantastic day, Brad the Captain was very caring. My young grandson thought he's the best. No cussing or alcohol seen.

Amazing fishing experience with Will and his crew. July 19th for the half day. We fished for salmon and rock fish. Our group of 6 including 5 year old and 7 year old caught over 60lb of fish which is going to be shipped to Hawaii. I was not sure if the boat would be a good fit for our young daughter but the crew was amazing. I was told the fishing does not get any better that day. We all had an amazing experience.

J-Dock was referred to me by a friend and booooy am I glad for that friend & referral. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. From the staff to the crew everyone made us feel so welcome. The restaurants were great the lodging was clean and comfortable but the best part was the 3 day fishing trip.Thank you to Captain Butters and first mate Brett who took us to the best fishing spot. Thank you to Kara who kept us fed so well. I would HIGHLY recommend J-Dock to anyone who loves fishing and I am already looking forward to my next trip.

J-dock Captains, crew and processing are the best around. Good at what they do and amazing, welcoming people. They will work hard to get you on the fish and help you get it home. My group fished on all their boats and loved every minute of it. Caught some fish of a lifetime, saw some amazing scenery and met some of the best people in Seward. Big thanks to Captain Will, his crew and everyone at J-Dock

Booked this for my husband and his mother visiting from out of state. They had a blast! Caught all their fish and then some. Left about 6am and they were back about 6:30pm. They brought their own lunch and drinks. Highly recommend taking Dramamine the night before and morning of if you get motion sickness. All the crew were super nice, helpful, and fun! We'll be booking another charter 🎣
