Aqua Safari Charters, located in Galveston, Texas, specializes in offshore fishing charters, deep-sea fishing charters, and Galveston Bay and Jetty fishing. Captain Paul can take out groups of up to 18 anglers for a fun day on the water on his boat “Island Girl.” The waters off Galveston are teeming with life, and Captain Paul and his crew know where to go to get you reeling in fish in no time.

The “Island Girl” is a 42 ft. Delta Charter Sportfisherman with twin Caterpillar turbo engines and all of the latest navigation and fish-finding equipment. This boat was made for fishing, and its size is perfect for everyone; friends, bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate outings, organizations etc. Bring the whole family. Captain Paul and his crew are happy to teach young children and adults alike all they need to know to reel in their first of many fish.

Galveston has some of the best Deep Sea and Jetty Fishing trips on the coast. On jetty and Galveston Bay trips, you will mainly concentrate on redfish, flounder, and speckled trout, but Spanish mackerel, tripletail, and various types of sharks can be found roaming around. Offshore catches include kingfish, ling (cobia), dorado (mahi-mahi), a variety of sharks, red snapper, mangrove snapper, lane snapper, Spanish mackerel, and more.

Captain Paul has a lot of techniques to choose from. For inshore fishing, conventional tackle with live bait, cut bait, or lures will get you hooked up. Going further offshore, Captain Paul will have you bottom fishing with light and heavy tackle as well as using trolling and drifting techniques depending on what type of charter and fish you are targeting.

Aqua Safari has two trips available, Jetty/Bay and Deep Sea. The Jetty charter has 4-hour and 6-hour charters, while the Deep Sea charter has a 6-hour trip up to 20 miles offshore, a 9 ½-hour full day charter up to 40 miles offshore, and an extended day charter up to 60 miles offshore.

Professional rods, reels and tackle are provided, along with live bait and chum. Bring food and drinks, polarized sunglasses, a hat, comfortable clothes and shoes. Also, remember sunscreen and motion sickness pills if needed. You will also need zip bags and a cooler for all the fresh fish you will take home. We do promote catch and release, but you are welcome to bring your catch home.
