Angler’s Edge Outdoors

Angler's Edge Outdoors has everything you need to make a fishing trip a lasting memory. Captain Joe has over 20 years of experience, and his boat is fast and can get you to where the fish are in no time. Fishing charters last 6 hours, and we fish 12 months out of the year. We have four locations that we charter from; Buffalo NY, Lewiston NY, Niagara Falls NY and Youngstown NY. We fish Lake Erie, the Niagara River and Lake Ontario and target many types of fish, including Walleye, Bass, Muskie, Salmon, Trout and Steelhead, depending on the season.

Captain Joe has always enjoyed fishing. For as long as he can remember, it has been a huge part of his life. He is a USCG Master Captain. He loves taking people out, especially new anglers to the sport, to enjoy a day on the water. He learned that his love for fishing can be passed on to others and loves to see the smile on a face pulling in their first Walleye, Bass or Muskie. Captain Joe will teach you everything you need to know and will use his extensive knowledge to put you on fish. He always works to ensure your trip is something you will always remember.

Captain Joe's boat is a Lund 2175 Pro V with a Supercharged 350 HP Mercury Outboard. It can reach speeds up to 65 miles an hour. It is 8 !/2 feet wide and 21 feet 10 inches long, so there is plenty of room for all anglers to comfortably fish without running into each other. The boat has top-of-the-line GPS Navigation, Fish Finding Equipment and Sonar Technology. This means that he can find fish faster and even watch the fish take your bait.

Rods, reels, bait and tackle are all provided for you, and each angler must wear a designated life jacket. We also offer complimentary bottled water.

What to Bring

You must get a fishing license before your charter, and you can apply for one online. Captain Joe recommends that you purchase a NY State Fishing License and a Canadian License so that we can fish both ends of the Niagara River. You can buy a Canadian Fishing License online as well. Boat shoes or sneakers are required so you do not slip. NO HEELS. If you want to fish with us in the spring, fall or winter, you must dress accordingly with water and windproof outerwear, a good quality hat and gloves, insulated waterproof boots and wool socks, especially in the winter. You should bring sunscreen and a hat to keep from burning from the sun. A cooler with snacks and drinks is always a good idea to keep you from dehydrating and feeling hungry. We will prep and fillet your fish for your dinner. Please bring gallon bags for your fillets. And whether you bring one filled with beverages or not, you will need a cooler for your catch.

Everyone now has smartphones, and we encourage taking as many pictures as you like to commemorate your experience. It would be great for you to post on our Facebook and Instagram pages, and if you send pictures to us, we will also post them on our website gallery.
