Owned and operated by Captain Andrew Fishbein, a USCG OUPV Captain, Adventure and Catch is run by someone who has spent a lifetime fishing. Originally from New York, he started fishing with his father in Moriches Bay and Sheepshead Bay, casting from the shores of Rockaway, NY, and heading out with his father-in-law Paul off Montauk Point. After moving to New Hampshire at 26, he spent years fishing its lakes and rivers before settling near the seacoast 15 years ago, shifting his focus to inshore and offshore fishing. His passion for the ocean and its ever-changing beauty is undeniable, and if given the choice, he would spend every day on the water, where new sights and excitement are always just around the corner. Safety is his top priority, and every trip is planned with passenger well-being in mind.
Trips are designed to fit different schedules and levels of adventure. A full-day trip lasts 8-10 hours, running from 6 AM to 4 PM, offering deep-sea fishing, whale watching, or a mix of both. The target species include Red Fish, Cod, Cusk, Haddock, Hake, Halibut, and Pollock, with space for up to six people. A half-day option runs for 4.5 to 5.5 hours, with morning and afternoon slots available. These shorter trips are great for families or those looking to test the waters without committing to a full day. They can include catching Mackerel, fishing around the Isle of Shoals, or heading north to York Ledge for Harbor Pollock and possibly Stripers. For those seeking serious action, the Tuna and Shark adventure runs from 5 AM to 7 PM, targeting Bluefin Tuna and Shark species like Blue, Thresher, and Porbeagle. This trip is geared toward those who want to battle top-tier predators using high-quality gear, including Shimano C-130 reels and 80/130 Tuna killer rods by ZCR. The Adventure and Catch Marathon, running 12-14 hours, is for those who want to get lost in the excitement of a full day at sea, with options for deep-sea fishing, whale watching, sightseeing, or a mix of all three. These trips can also take anglers to more remote areas such as Fippennies Ledge, Jeffreys Ledge, Cashes Ledge, and Platts Bank.
For those looking for something more custom, flexible trips ranging from 2 to 14 hours are available. Whether it’s catching Mackerel, heading to Jeffery’s Ledge for deep-sea fishing, and then finishing the day fishing for Stripers in the river, or taking a scenic cruise along the coast while stopping for a sunset view at the mouth of the Piscataqua River, anything is possible. Even special events like birthday celebrations on the water with fishing, cake, and ice cream can be arranged. For those who just want a relaxing ocean evening, the sunset cruise runs from 6 PM to 9 PM, providing a peaceful break at the end of the day.
A unique offering for the summer season is the Captain-for-Hire service. Those who want to take their own boat out but prefer an experienced guide can have Captain Andy come aboard. He will lead the way to the best fishing spots, provide tips on using a GPS and fishfinder, and share knowledge about the local waters. This service is available for full-day, half-day, marathon, and even overnight trips.
All trips take place aboard the “Adventure and Catch,” a 31-foot vessel designed for comfort and performance. The boat typically limits its fishing trips to six people per trip, following New Hampshire Fish and Game Department guidelines for charter boats. However, sightseeing trips can accommodate up to 11 people.
